Steubenville mayor:
STEUBENVILLE — Lou Arrico readily admits to a lack of experience in holding a public office. But the Republican candidate said he will bring enthusiasm and a new approach to the mayor’s office during his quest to unseat 17-year veteran Mayor Domenick Mucci. Both men are seeking the job that carries a $4,900 salary for the four-year term. Arrico, a graduate of Steubenville Catholic Central High School and Franciscan University of Steubenville, said he intends to bring a fresh perspective to city government, along with some new ideas aimed at revitalizing the downtown business environment and making the city more attractive for young people to stay and raise their families. “I have lived here all of my life and have always been a hustler, usually working two or three jobs. I feel I am tuned into small businesses. The main reason I am running is because I feel the community needs new ideas,” said Arric.
