Dorothy V. Ferguson
FERGUSON, Dorothy, V., 70, of Brilliant, Ohio, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2008, at her home, after a lengthy illness.
She was born March 1, 1938, in Holliday's Cove, W.Va., a daughter of the late Thomas and Henrietta Bailey McGahan.
Dorothy was a retired secretary for the Brilliant Christian Church, where she was also an active member, having sung in the choir, been a Deacon, and member of the Women's Fellowship. She was also a member of the B.C.C. Card club and former Brilliant Woman's Club.
Surviving are her husband, Peter R. "Dick" Ferguson, whom she married on January 19, 1964; two sons, Rich (Janis) Ferguson, Brilliant, and Douglas (Becky) Ferguson, Albany, Ohio; five grandchildren, Amanda, Andrew, Austin, Andrea and Eric Ferguson; a sister, Shirley Cornelius, Ashville, Ohio; a niece; and several nephews.
Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third Street, Brilliant, where services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m., with Dr. Marc R. Tinstman, Minister, officiating.
Interment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
