RICHMOND - Edward W. "Bud" and Freda M. Sargeant will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Thursday with their family.

They were married on Oct. 29, 1959, in Holy Name Cathedral in Steubenville, with the Rev. M.J. Zahorchak officiating.

He is the son of the late Edward W. Sr. and Harriet May Campbell Sargeant. He was employed for 30 years with TIMET before retiring and also is retired from the Edison Local School District, having worked there nine years.

She is the daughter of the late Charles J. and Anna Solomon Bryan.

They have a daughter, Cindy Horan of Richmond. A son, Mark, is deceased. There are two grandsons.
