The Upper Ohio Valley Camera Club has announced its October competition winners.

Print winners using the monthly topic, "Animals," were, first place, Margaret Powley and Melissa Bendle; second, Diane Bannister; and third, Claudia Norris, Barb Momyer and Roeda Moore.

Open category print winners were, first, Norris, Don Roberts and Samantha Cercone; second, Powley; and third, Andy Tindor and Moore. Special effects winners were, first, Connie Koniski and Roberts; second, Bannister; and third, Moore.

Slide competition winners using "Animals" were, first place, Ruth Bovalina; second, Tindor and Norris; and third, Powley. Open category winners included, first, Tindor; second, Powley; and third, Bovalina and Norris. Special effects winners in slides were, first, Tindor, second, Bovalina; and third, Norris.

The club meets the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at Sargus Hall, behind Blessed Sacrament Church in Wintersville, and is open to persons of all levels of experience, using both film and digital cameras.

A workshop usually is held the first Tuesday of the month and competitions for prints and slides with three categories are held the second Tuesday.
