Richmond Lions celebrate 60th
RICHMOND - The Richmond Lions Club celebrated its 60th anniversary recently at the Glenn Mills Senior Community Center.
The club was chartered on March 29, 1949, and was sponsored by the Steubenville Lions Club.
Guest speaker James Coffey, past international Lions president, congratulated the club for serving the Richmond community with their many activities for six decades.
The event attracted the attendance of Lions, Lionesses and guests on the district, state and international level.
Distinguished guests from District 13-G were introduced by William Alexander, president of the Richmond Lions Club. They included Coffey of the Toronto Lions Club; Steve Thornton, district governor, from the Wooster noon Lions Club; second vice district governor Raymond Konkoleski of the Adena Lions Club; and Zone 5 chairman Teri English of the Steubenville Lions Club.
