SMITH, Herman "Spook," 81, of Beech Bottom, W.Va., passed away Thursday, November 5, 2009, in Wheeling Medical Park, Wheeling, W.Va.

He was a member of the Brooke County Sportsman's Club for 60 years.

He was preceded in death his wife, Marilyn White Smith, on January 17, 1986.

Surviving are one son: Dennis Smith, of Wellsburg, W.Va.; granddaughter, Crystal Smith, of McKenzie, AL; six brothers and seven sisters.

Friends and family will be received on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, from 6-8 p.m. at the Chambers Funeral Home, 1030 Main St. Wellsburg, WV 26070, where funeral services will be held on Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009, at 2 p.m.

Interment will follow in Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Beech Bottom, W.Va.
