AWARDED: Dana Meadows, assistant professor of allied health careers, is Eastern Gateway Community College's Employee of the Month for October.

Meadows joined the college's faculty in 2006, teaching in the practical nursing program.

She graduated from the Ohio Valley Hospital School of Nursing, earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from Wheeling Jesuit University and her master's in nursing as an education specialist from Franciscan University of Steubenville. She also earned a post master's certificate as a family nurse practitioner from Franciscan.

In addition to past staff nursing work, Meadows also is a family nurse practitioner for Robert H. Edwards, M.D. and has been a presenter at the Ohio and West Virginia Leagues for Nursing.

Meadows resides with her family in Bloomingdale.

ATTENDEE: Rick DeLuca, broker at DeLuca Realty in Steubenville, attended the 101st annual convention of the Ohio Association of REALTORS in Columbus recently.

DeLuca serves as OAR District 7 vice president and is a member of its board of directors and executive committee. He took part in the Commercial/Industrial sessions, Legal Issues Forums, legislative committee meetings and the nominating committee session.

Highlights of the convention included recognition of OAR's Realtor of the Year, Ohio Realtor Rally for Housing on the Ohio statehouse steps, and a president's sales club dinner honoring top producers throughout the state.

OAR has more than 28,000 members statewide.

MEETING SET: Steubenville Area Board of Realtors, Inc., will elect officers for 2012 at their October awards luncheon, slated for Tuesday at The Rose, Lovers Lane.

Realtor of the Year Carolyn Turnbull will be honored at the luncheon, along with a free lunch for President Sales Club winners.

Lunch is $12, and reservations may be made by calling the board office at 740.264.0001.
