WINTERSVILLE - Robert and Wanda Clevenger of Wintersville will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a party held in their honor on Saturday at the Serbian American Cultural Center in Weiton.
They were united in marriage on March 10, 1962, at the Labelle View Methodist Church in Steubenville by the Rev. John B. Taylor.
Clevenger, the son of the late Oren B. and Waveline Clevenger of Industrial, W.Va., is a Navy veteran of the Korean War and is retired from Weirton Steel, where he was a crane operator.
His wife is the daughter of the late David and Monree Crislip of Mount Clair, W.Va. She is retired from Bell Chapel United Methodist Church, where she served as secretary.
They are members of Bell Chapel United Methodist Church.
They have 10 children: Robert Jr., Nancy McComb, JoLynn Lavrinc, Robin Lyons, Candace Hitt, Valerie Webb, Cindi Haught and Kelley Allison. Two children, Mark Stephen Hitt and Sandy McGinn, are deceased.
They also have 22 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
