MCCLAIN, Harold J., 88, of Steubenville, Ohio, died Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Weirton Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 15, 1923, in Steubenville, a son of the late Jay G. and Matilda A. Rawlins McClain .
He was preceded in death by one brother, William McClain; and three sisters, Gladys Barnes, Alice Heckman, and Anna Margaret Kidder.
He was a retired school photographer for Carl Mansfield Studio.
Harold was an Army veteran of World War II and a ham radio operator.
Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Irene Long McClain; and six nieces, Patricia (Greg) Varoga Ehalt of Murrysville, Pa., Mary Kay (Sam) Conner of Aliquippa, Pa., Barbara (Ralph) Carapellotti of Berea, Ohio, Linda Bright of Steubenville, Janice (Ronald) Turner of Suwanie, Ga., and Carol (Jon) Laska of Irwin, Pa.; and nephew, Richard (Barbara) Barnes of Pittsburgh, Pa.
Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, on Friday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at 12:30 p.m.
