BEAGLE, Carolyn Irene, 79, of Wellsburg, W.Va., passed away on Wednesday, May, 23, 2012, at Lancia Villa Vista in Steubenville, Ohio.
Born on July 29, 1932, in Wellsburg, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Irene (Leavitt) Grimm. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Harry Beagle, whom passed away in 1997, her son, Harry Allen Beagle, in 2010, and a great-grandson, Preston Beagle.
Carolyn worked for several years both as a bank teller at the former National Bank in Wellsburg, W.Va., and lastly as a secretary for Brooke County Schools at Franklin Primary School. She was a member of the Brooke Hills Free Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Shelba (Sam) Hubbard of Wellsburg, W.Va.; a daughter-in-law, Ritajean Beagle of Steubenville, Ohio; two brothers, Donald Grimm of Little Rock, Ark., and Eugene Grimm of Wellsburg, W.Va.; two sisters, Rosemary (Clarence) Maloney of Wellsburg, W.Va., and Nora Cercone of Akron, Ohio; four grandchildren, Julie Anne (Bruce) Goff, Samuel D. (Amber) Hubbard, Kristyianna D. Beagle, and Seaman E-3, Nicholas A. Beagle; four great-grandchildren, Haley Goff, Christopher Goff, Anthony Hubbard, and Kayla Hubbard.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 24 from 5-8 p.m. at the Mullenbach Funeral Home, 669 Main St., Follansbee, W.Va.
Friends will then be received on Friday, May 25, from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. at the Brooke Hills Free Methodist Church at 1340 Washington Pike, Wellsburg, W.Va., with Pastor Bryce Grieco officiating.
Interment will follow in Franklin Cemetery in Wellsburg, W.Va.
