WOOD, Dixie A., 56, of New Cumberland died Thursday, May 31, 2012, in Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa.
She was born June 28, 1955, in Weirton, WV, daughter of Arlene Lee Merriner Cool of New Cumberland and of the late John H. Cool.
Survivors include her son, Justin Wood of New Cumberland; her daughter, Michelle (Bill) Bever, of New Cumberland; and three grandchildren Ryan, Jakob and Jason Ford. She is also survived by three brothers, Alan "Scott" Cool and Steve Cool, both of New Cumberland and Johnny Cool of New Martinsville, WV; one sister, Nelda (Ed) Koontz of Hundred, WV; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas R. Wood and a brother, Mark Cool.
Minister Tom Arehart will conduct services Monday at 11 a.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester where friends may visit Saturday when the family will be present from 4-8 p.m. and Sunday from 12-3 and 5-8 p.m. Burial will be in New Cumberland Cemetery Email condolences may be sent to the family at arnerfc@arnerfuneral chapel.com.
