THOMAS, James R. "Rev" II, 42, of Steubenville, OH, passed away Monday, July 9, 2012, at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH, after a lengthy illness.
He was born June 5, 1970, in Steubenville, OH. He was preceded in death by his father, James R. Thomas; his maternal grandfather, John Pavlic; and an uncle, John S. Pavlic.
Jimmy graduated from Mingo High School in 1988 and was Catholic by faith. He enjoyed collecting baseball and football cards. He also enjoyed collecting stamps, and he was a member of the Ohio Valley Stamp Club. Jimmy enjoyed working with his train sets.
He is survived by his parents, Francis "Butch" and Linda K. (Pavlic) Caputo of Mingo Junction; a sister, Chrissy (Rob Peach) Caputo of Toronto, Ohio; his maternal grandmother, Mildred Pavlic of Steubenville; an aunt, Debbie (Jay) Oberholtzer of Steubenville, OH; his special friends, Mark and Rebecca Morrow, Dean Mitchell, John Scardina and Jennifer Haspel; and his special pets, Scout and Joe.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. with Fr. James M. Dunfee, officiating. Interment will follow at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville.
