Lois Roth

ROTH, Lois C., 71, of Reedsville, went to be with the Lord, Friday, July 20, 2012, at Mon General Hospital with family by her side.

She was born Dec. 30, 1940, in Martins Ferry, OH, the daughter of the late Raymond V. and Alice E. Henwood Hartzell.

Her mother passed when she was 5 years old and was raised by her father and his wife Clara Louise Hartzell.

She is survived by her husband Pindle Roth Jr. whom she married March 28, 1959; three children, Gary W. Roth and wife Leslie, Lakeland, Fla., Brenda L. Hovatter and husband Rodney, Reedsville, Linda D. Gibilisco and husband Chris, Reedsville; two grandchildren, Josh W. Roth and wife Katherine, Ashley L. Roth; one great-grandchild, Madison L. Roth; one brother, James V. Hartzell and wife Alice, Steubenville, OH; one sister, Phyllis A. Bodo, Steubenville, OH; numerous nieces and nephews.

Lois lived her life in such a way that she was an inspiration to others because of her courage, especially during her seven and half year bout with cancer. Her strong faith through out her entire life had and affect on everyone she came in contact with. Her giving attitude reflected in everything she did. She was truly an amazing woman and will be greatly missed. Lois was a member of the Masontown Church of the Nazarene where she was very active and she helped with directing Bible School, decorations and Sunday morning counting the collections for many years. Her interest included a constant concern for the well being of her family. She enjoyed going to church and singing in the choir as well as working outside with her family. She work along side her daughters at the Double Imagine Styling Salon doing secretarial and treasury functions as well as greeting people and making people feel welcomed.

Family and friends will be received at the Morgan Funeral Home, Reedsville, WV, on Monday, July 23, 2012, from 2-8 p.m. and she will lie in repose at the Masontown Church of the Nazarene on Tuesday, July 24, 2012, from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. with Rev. Robert Ringer and Rev Kevin Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at the Arthurdale Cemetery.
