EDWARDS, Frances, 80, New Athens, went to eternal rest Aug. 1, 2012. Frances was born April 30, 1932, in Athens Township, a daughter of the late Laban Gregg and Frances and Walter (Pops) Evans.
Frances was a homemaker for many years but did work at Scio Pottery Co., Hillan-Dale, Freeport Press and Wal-Mart until her retirement. She enjoyed reading, playing cards and yahtzee.
She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by her ex-husband, Tom Edwards and an infant daughter.
She is survived by her children: Dale (Margaret) Edwards of Cadiz, Gary (Paula) Edwards of St. Clairsville, Ronnie (Jayne) Edwards of New Athens, Sherry (Tom) Lackman of St. Clairsville and Teresa Lauffer of Flushing; 12 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three sisters: Mother Mary Raphael, Arlene Zachariah and Phyliss Brockman; four nephews and two nieces.
Friends will be held received Friday, August 3 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. at Clark- Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz with Pastor Wayne Ickes officiating.
Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family at Longview Cemetery, New Athens, OH.
