Paul R. Fleagane

FLEAGANE, Paul R., 70, of Gibsonia, Pa., died Saturday, July 28, at his family's home in Jewett after a short illness.

He was born March 13, 1942, in McKeesport, PA, the son of the late Robert and Virginia Fleagane.

He attended school in Cadiz and New Jersey, and graduated from Duff's Business Institute in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Paul was a successful entrepreneur and philanthropist who graciously helped causes dear to his heart, such as the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the Boy Scouts of America, Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research Harrison Central Roundballers Club, as well as many local volunteer fire departments.

Paul had a passion for firefighting and was a member of numerous departments in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, and Florida for almost 50 years. He attended the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown (PA), and was also a lifetime member of the NRA.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by a daughter, Faith Ann; and a nephew, Jason Fleagane.

He is survived by his daughter, Katina (Eric) Watt of Jewett; brother, Jon (Sharon) of Moorpark, California; grandsons, Ian and Fletcher Watt of Jewett; nephews, Alex (Jessi) Fleagane of Portland, OR, and Josh (Madeline) Fleagane of Pasadena, CA; great-nephews, Bishop and Porter Fleagane; great-nieces, Sadie and Abbi Fleagane; and God son Eric Beltz.

A private service was held on Wednesday, August 1 at Koch Funeral Home in Scio with Rev. Rod Bowers officiating. The Jewett VFD and Harrison County Sheriff's Office escorted Paul to his final resting place, beside his daughter Faith, at Fairview Cemetery in Jewett.
