BURCH, Linda J., 67, of Freedom, PA, formerly of Brilliant, Ohio, passed away Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on Dec. 28, 1944, in Steubenville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Vernon and Opal (Mayle) McEndree.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph "Bud" Burch, Jr. on Jan. 1, 2012; a brother, Vernon McEndree; and two sisters, Goldie Kemp and Erla Benzo.
Linda graduated from Mingo High School in 1963. She was primarily a homemaker, but after her children grew up she worked at various places outside the home. She was a member of the Wildwood Chapel in Aliquippa, PA and she enjoyed reading and crafts.
Surviving are three sons, James Burch of Ashville, OH, Ralph A. Burch of Lakeview, OH and Thomas (Kelli) Burch of Wellsburg, WV; a daughter, Dana (Bill) Casto of Sewickley, PA; two brothers, Charles "Babe" McEndree of Brilliant, OH and Michael McEndree of Harrisburg, PA; a sister, Ann Cummins of Cecil, PA; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, where her funeral services will be held on Friday at noon with Pastor Kenneth McGaffic, officiating. Interment will follow in New Alexandria Cemetery.
