HOLMES, Crilmer Lee, of Wintersville, Ohio, passed away Aug. 4, 2012, at Trinity Medical Center West surrounded by family.
Crilmer was born Aug. 6, 1927, to the late Surry and Nellie Holmes.
He was a member of Saint Peter AME Church in Weirton, WV. He was a graduate of Dunbar School in Weirton, WV. Crilmer was a dedicated employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel for 44 years.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; brother, Arrelle Holmes; three sisters, Wilma Harrell, Anna Gibson, and Ada Johnson; one grandson, Joseph Thompson; and one great granddaughter Leah Mya DiNino.
He is survived by his wife Catherine; children, Cynthia Montgomery, C. Nathan (Gloria) Holmes Jocelyn Saunders Holmes, Jynelle Stanton, Jerilyn Thompson, Jennifer and Wanda Holmes and Marvin Wilson; a host of grand and great grandchildren.
Visitation is on Thursday, Aug. 9 from 6-8 p.m. at St. Peter AME Church, 1050 County Road, Weirton, WV. The funeral will be held on Friday, Aug. 10 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Paris Cemetery.
