US Kids entertained many at the Weirton Event Center Friday as part of a series of free concerts held this summer at the new amphitheater. Opening for the group was Spinning Jenny. The Weirton Festival of Nations, which features a variety of ethnic food, entertainment and goods, will be held at the center from noon to 6 p.m. Aug. 18. Located at the former location of Cove School and across from the parking lot of the Weirton Municipal Plaza, it’s also the site of flea markets held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday and farmers markets held from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. each Thursday.
