GROOMS, Gary (Gig) L., 58, of Wellsburg, WV, passed away Aug. 22, 2012, at Weirton Medical Center, Weirton, WV.
He was born March 9, 1954, to Robert and Lydia Mercer Grooms.
He worked as a pipe fitter at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corp., and was a member of the Wellsburg Moose.
He was preceded by his father.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his step-mother, Donna Grooms of Wellsburg, WV; wife, Paulette Bukovinsky Grooms of Wellsburg, WV; two sons, Gary Lee Grooms II and his fiancee, Jessica Harvey of Morgantown, WV, and Chaz Grooms of Wellsburg, WV; one brother, Robert (Bob) Grooms of Wellsburg, WV; and many nieces and nephews also survived.
Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 24, 2012 from noon until the time of service at 4 p.m. at Reasner Funeral Home, 1515 Charles St., Wellsburg, WV, with Joy Leasure officiating.
