MARCUS, Betty G., 87, of Amsterdam, passed away Friday evening August 24, 2012 in her home.
A daughter of the late Elzie and Gladys Stine Jackson she was born January 24, 1925 in East Springfield, Ohio.
Betty was a member of the Amsterdam Church of God.
She is survived by her son, David (Cheryl) Marcus of Jewett; two grandsons, Marc (Michelle) Marcus of Amsterdam and David (Georgene) Marcus of Amsterdam; three granddaughters, Kim Marcus of Amsterdam, Joanie (Dean) Baker of Carrollton, Jessica Kinney of Carrollton; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and the many caregivers of the years.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; a daughter, Brenda; and a brother and a sister.
Funeral services will be Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home in Amsterdam.
Burial will follow in Bergholz Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 4-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
