To the editor:
My husband is a retired Navy veteran. People often forget about the veterans and their families, but I am very thankful to them.
I had to have surgery on my back, and I could not get to the bathroom. I was unable to walk alone. The Jefferson County Veterans Administration loaned us the use of a bedside commode. It might not mean a lot to some people, but I am very thankful to them.
