STEUBENVILLE - Larry and Merica Petrella of Steubenville will celebrate their 40th anniversary on Oct. 14.
Petrella and the former Merica Savinell were united in marriage on Oct. 14, 1972, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Steubenville.
Petrella is the son of Eleanor Liberatore and the late Frank Petrella. He attended Mingo High School and is a millwright.

They have two children: Larry of Steubenville and Jodi DeStefanis of Akron. They have one granddaughter.
