Cited: Wendy C. Notarantonio, 35, 105 Park Ave., Weirton, failure to stop in assured clear distance ahead; and Charles Allan, 66, 2312 county Road 23, Bloomingdale, marked lanes.

Break-in: Rear door to house in the 1200 block of Ridge Avenue kicked open and interior ransacked between Friday and Saturday. A printer/fax machine, jewelry and hedge trimmer reported taken.

Arrested: Kenneth C. Artman, 58, no fixed address, petit theft warrant and possession of marijuana and criminal trespass, Saturday.

Arrested: Jolene D. Goffoli, 25, 1505 Pennsylvania Ave., petit theft and possession of heroin, Saturday.

Arrested: Tammy L. Simmons, 46, 1441 township Road 163, Rayland, failure to appear warrant out of municipal court, Saturday.

Fake money: Counterfeit bills passed to food delivery person in the 900 block of Sherman Avenue, Sunday.

Arrested: Jeremy A. Bartrug, 30, 76345 Miric Ridge Road, Adena, possession of heroin, possession of drug abuse instrument and possession of drug paraphernalia, Sunday.

Cited: John P. Kimble Jr., 42, Brunswick, speeding; and Joshua D. Thompson, 22, 303 Ohio St., Brilliant, speeding.

Attempted break-in: Owner of Briarwood Bar, Pottery Addition, reported seeing two men in dark clothing attempt to enter the building through the oven ventilation system early today. The men took off running. A deputy found tools near the ventilation system.

Theft: Jewelry taken from home in the 200 block of Forestview Drive, Wintersville, between Oct. 10 and Oct. 17. A sliding door to the home was reported opened.

Theft: Two ATVs and a trailer were reported taken from yard on county Road 28, Mingo Junction, Sunday.

Theft: Compound bow and backpack containing hunting related items taken from shed in the 800 block of Bantam Ridge Road, Wintersville, between Wednesday and Saturday.
