BARKER, Jan Carl, 58, of New Cumberland, WV, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at his residence.
He was born January 26, 1954 in Weirton, WV, a son of the late Carl O. and Ary Alice (Burton) Barker. Also preceded in death by a brother, Jeff Barker.
He was a retired painter from GCP Contracting and Falcon Transportation as a truck driver.
Jan was a great singer, loved playing guitar, loved fishing and hunting, but his greatest joy was spending time with his children.
Surviving are his wife, Leona (Ware) Barker at home; three children, Colleen Barker, Danny Barker and Cristina Luke, all of New Cumberland, WV; two sisters, Judy Barker of Virginia and Connie Roberts of Florida; one brother, Jack Barker of Morgantown, WV; four grandchildren, Alayna, Ginafae, Kaylee and Aiden.
Friends will be received at the Turley Funeral Home on Saturday, October 27, 2012, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
