The Indian Creek Chiefs Cheerleaders supported Breast Cancer Awareness Month by getting fans to purchase a "Chiefs Cheer for A Cure" T-shirt to wear to all games in October.
The "Pink Out" celebration began Oct. 7 as the Indian Creek Chiefs presented a check for $500 to Barb Wilinski, a representative of the Jefferson County Unit of the American Cancer Society.
The goal was to raise $500 to donate to the local ACS. All proceeds were made from selling T-shirts, wrist bands, sticker tattoos and can holders.
IC Chiefs cheerleaders joined with Jennifer Skender-Burns, treasurer, in making the presentation to Wilinski.
