From staff reports , The Intelligencer

A motorist was injured Tuesday when her vehicle collided with an Ohio County school bus about 3 miles from West Liberty.

The accident occurred about 9:15 a.m. on GC&P Road near its intersection with state Route 88, outside the former Henry's service station. No students were on board at the time of the crash.

West Virginia State Police Sgt. Mike Hogan said paramedics transported the injured woman, who was driving a Chevrolet Aveo, to Ohio Valley Medical Center.

He did not know how badly she was hurt.

The car sustained severe damage to its left front, according to reports. Firefighters worked for a short time sweeping glass and other debris from the wreck.

Hogan said the bus driver was not injured but went to a hospital for a blood test, which Hogan said is routine when someone with a commercial driver's license is involved in an accident.

Neither he nor the injured driver were cited at the scene.
