SNIDER, Arnell A., Jr., age 88, of Toronto, OH, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2012, at the Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, OH.
He was born September 22, 1924, in Harrison County, WV, the son of the late Arnell A. Snider, Sr. and Mabel L. Swiger Snider.
Arnell was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Toronto; the Toronto American Legion Post 86; Toronto Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1276; Valley of Steubenville Scottish Rite Masons; former member of the Steubenville Masonic Lodge 45 and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was retired from the Ironworkers Local Union 549 out of Wheeling, WV.
Arnell was preceded in death by a son, Arnell A. Snider, III; brother, Lewis Snider; sister, Corina Carolyn and step-sister, Patricia Peach.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia L. Styer Snider; sons, Larry E. Snider of Ormond by the Sea, FL, and Richard K. (Molly) Snider of Sterling, VA; step-son, Michael Styer of Mingo Junction, OH; daughters, Patty S. DeMeglio of Massachusetts and Sherilyn L. Snider of Dickerson, MD; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation hours for Arnell will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, November 18 at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto.
A celebration service of Arnell's life will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 19, with the Reverend Kevin Rinkes officiating.
