Charity Hospice in Wintersville held its Fall Comedy Show Spectacular on Oct. 27 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Mingo Junction where Pittsburgh comedian Jimmy Krenn was the main attraction of the evening.
"The fundraiser was a huge success and as usual, the community was absolutely wonderful in its response," said Steve Seminara, director of fundraising at Charity Hospice, in retrospect.
"The comedians were great, and Ohio Catering did a fantastic job in preparing a wonderful meal. The packed house really enjoyed themselves," Seminara said, noting nearly 300 people were in attendance.
"Every dollar generated from ticket sales, sponsorship, the Chinese auction, silent auction and the 50/50 will go directly toward patient care," Seminara said. "Overall, the event was a big success," he added, expressing appreciation on this Thanksgiving Day for the generosity of sponsors, gift donors and community support.
