Christmas event

in Bloomingdale

The Bloomingdale Village Building will be the site of Trim-A-Tree and Christmas caroling festivities on Sunday beginning at 4 p.m.

Participants are encouraged to bring an ornament to help decorate the village tree.

Cookies and hot chocolate will be served at the Bloomingdale United Methodist Church following the caroling.

Mingo center

The Mingo Junction Senior Center Christmas party will be held Dec. 14 at the Mingo Knights of Columbus Hall, beginning at 6 p.m.

The event will include food, music, prizes and a cash bar.

Cost is $20 per person.

Habitation to

welcome Talley

The Habitation of God's Glory sponsored by the P.O.W. Intercessory Prayer Ministry will welcome Evangelist Joey Talley of Atlanta, Ga., as the special speaker Friday and Saturday at the River Christian Fellowship Church located at 183 Nesley St., Empire.

He will minister both days at 7 p.m.

He also will minister at Sunday church services at 10:30 a.m.

"A revivalist and trendsetter," Talley has ministered with Jentzen Franklin and Perry Stone, has been on TBN and DayStar and also has appeared with Marcus and Joanne Lamb.

for inauguration

Interested in attending the 2013 inauguration of President Barack Obama?

A motorcoach package for Jan. 20-22 is available through the Kenley Konnection with a bus leaving from the Hollywood Shopping Plaza in Steubenville, according to Duane Jennings of the Steubenville office. He can be contacted at (740) 264-1862 or (740) 632-3951 for information.

The round-trip motor coach includes two nights' accommodations, two breakfasts, a sightseeing tour to the Martin Luther King Jr. memorial if traffic permits and bus transportation to shuttle or Metro to the National Mall for the inauguration parade and ceremony.

A $50 deposit is due with the balance due by Dec. 15. Checks or money orders should be made payable to Kenley Konnection and mailed to 5773 Emporium Square, Columbus OH 43231. A telephone number should be provided and reference "Obama" on the check or money order.

Brunch, crafts

at E.S. center

The East Springfield Community Recreation & Service Center on county Road 39 will host a breakfast brunch in the new building on Saturday from 8 a.m. to whenever.

The menu will include pancakes, buckwheat cakes, french toast, belgium waffles, hashbrowns, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, coffee, juice and tea.

Cost is by donation.

Patrons can dine in or get carryout by calling (740) 543-3700.

There also will be a community craft show and bake sale there from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Table rental is $2 per foot.
