Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church will hold its second-annual Christmas Day memorial dinner on Tuesday with the dinner being served in the Hellenic Hall located at 300 S. Fourth St., Steubenville, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The dinner is free, and everyone is welcome to attend. Carryouts will be available.
"As a parish, we are blessed and enriched in God's love throughout the year," said Spiro Alexander. "This is our small way of giving back to our community that has given us so much and to say thank you. The dinner is in memory of family and friends who have passed away in our community. We do this because many people and many families in our community can't afford to provide a Christmas meal. Some people are alone and want to share this joyous day with other people. Our doors will be open, and all are welcome for whatever reason someone might want to come," Alexander said.
The menu will be a traditional Christmas Day meal consisting of soup, turkey and dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, cranberry sauce, roll, butter, desert and beverage. Carryouts and limited delivery will be provided.
Involved in planning the dinner are, above, from left, John Scavdis, Alexander and Rikki Kamarados.
