Benefit spaghetti dinner on Saturday

for cancer patient Jeff Wurschum

A spaghetti dinner to benefit cancer patient Jeff Wurschum is being organized for Saturday by his fellow employees at Iron City Distributing Co.

It will be held from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Rayland Fire Hall. Cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children 12 and under. Dinner includes spaghetti, salad, bread, a soft drink and coffee.

The fundraiser also will include door prizes, a Chinese auction, a bake sale and a 50-50 drawing. Music will be provided by DJ Nick at Nite.

"For more than 12 years, Jeff has been a most loyal and dedicated employee at Iron City Distributing Co.," says Cathy Peterson of Iron City Distributing Co. "Jeff's outgoing personality, thoughtful demeanor and his always-willing-to-help-someone attitude has endeared him to his fellow employees. Therefore, on Jan. 19, a benefit will be hosted at the Rayland Firehouse, 115 Warren St., Rayland, to help Jeff with his expenses during his time away from his job."
