Huskies stop the Wildcats; ’Skins top Ferry

CADIZ - The Harrison Central girls basketball team defeated visiting Edision 63-52 Thursday.

The Huskies' Katie Ellzy led all scorers with 19 points. Jess Ledger and Kara Dunfee each added 11 points in support.

The Wildcats were led by Katelyn Pollock's 15 points. Kayli Stewart added 14 and Molly McCoy chipped in 11.

Harrison Central travels to Union Local today while Edison hosts Oak Glen Saturday for a varsity only game at 7 p.m.

Redskins defeat Ferry

MARTINS FERRY - The Indian Creek girls basketball team picked up a 50-37 road win Thursday over Martins Ferry.

The Redskins received a balanced offensive effort led by Kiarra Kamarec's 11 points. Bre Berryman added 10 and Brooke Mains scored nine.

Indian Creek and Martins Ferry are set to do it again Monday in Wintersville.

Royals gain a big win

WEST MIFFLIN, Pa. - The Jefferson County Christian boys basketball team earned a 49-45 victory at Wilson Christian Academy Thursday night.

Juniors Matthew Townsend and Wes Seabright led the winners with 20 and 20 points, respectively. Townsend canned a trio of treys.

The Royals host American Spirit today at the Millsop Community Center.

JCCS defeats Warriors

WEST MIFFLIN, Pa. - The Jefferson County Christian girls basketball team won its third game in a row by a 48-20 count at Wilson Christian Academy Thursday night.

Senior Lani Moro led the way with a game-high 13 points. Meadow Jackson chipped in with nine and Kassie Lucas with eight.

The Royals host American Spirit Academy at 5 p.m. today at the Millsop Community Center.
