Wildcats top Big Reds
BELLAIRE - The Edison girls basketball team knocked off homestanding Bellaire 59-57 Thursday to win its second straight game.
Lynsey Morrison scored a team-high 18 points to lead the Wildcats. Molly McCoy and Katelyn Pollock joined her in double-figures with 17 and 13 points respectively.
Edison hosts Buckeye Local Monday.

Red Knights fall to Bishops
TORONTO - The Toronto boys basketball team fell at home, 72-67, to Bishop Donahue Thursday.
Brad Melville scored a game-high 24 points to lead the Red Knights. Tyler Owens added 18 points.
Toronto hosts St. John Central tonight.

Baseball, softball sign-ups to be held
CHESTER - Oak Glen Junior Bears baseball and softball will hold sign-ups for boys ages 4-14 and girls ages 4-15 at the New Cumberland City building from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Sign-ps are also scheduled at the Chester Volunteer Fire Department from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Feb. 7 and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 16 and Feb. 23. Cost is $50 for the first child, $40 for second child, and $25 for each additional child with additional fundraiser.

St. Joseph's beats Corpus Christi
WHEELING - The St. Joseph J.V. boys basketball team defeated Corpus Christi, 34-16, in Wheeling Parochial League action.
Dom Mazur scored 21 points to lead the way, while Evan Boniti added six points and Nick Paul four points for the Spartans.
