Arrested: Norman Brown, 34, 326 Hill Ave., bench warrant out of municipal court, Monday.

Arrested: Anthony Blancato, 40, 257 Commercial St., Mingo Junction, failure to appear warrant out of municipal court, Monday.

Theft: Unlocked vehicle in the 700 block of North Seventh Street entered and wallet and credits cards among the items taken, Monday.

Arrested: Joseph McShan, 22, 601 N. Fifth St., warrants charging aggravated burglary and aggravated menacing, Monday.

Assault: Man hit in head twice with baseball bat at apartment in the 800 block of Market Street around 2:18 p.m. Monday. The victim was taken to Trinity Medical Center West for treatment.

Arrested: Justin M. Toth, 28, 4122 township Road 120, Dillonvale, possession of drug abuse instrument, Monday.

Arrested: Stacey West, 42, 1412 Oregon Ave., petit theft and municipal court bench warrant, Monday.

Arrested: Gregory J. Stephens, 31, Apartment 4, 1527 Plum St., municipal court bench warrant, Monday.

Arrested: Gene Smith, 45, 435 Lawson Ave., bench warrant out of municipal court, petit theft and violation of no contact order, Monday.

ATV recovered: ATV reported stolen out of Belmont County recovered by police in the 1100 block of Claire Avenue, today.


Arrested: Lauran Nicole Smith, 3325 Orchard St., Weirton, warrants from Brooke County for allegedly driving while license suspended, shoplifting and reckless driving, Saturday.

Arrested: Jarvis A. Whitfield, 801 Market St., Steubenville, no proof of insurance, driving under the influence and reckless driving, Monday.

Cited: Allison Cupp, 19, of Wheeling, underage consumption and reckless driving; and Jason R. Wright, 25, Weirton, no motor vehicle inspection.
