Brooke 4-H teams compete in Air Rifle Invitational

Two Brooke County 4-H shooting sports teams competed in the Wayne County 4-H Air Rifle Invitational, their first competition, on Jan. 5 in Wayne County.

The junior team finished with a score of 322, while the senior team had a score of 310.

Participants in this contributed photo included Dante Johnson, Alicia Sims, Garrett Finsley, Kate James and Devin Kniszek. Chaperones were Alecia Staats and Matt Stromeyer. Sean Smith is the coach.

The team participate in three disciplines: air rifle, instructed by Smith; archery, instructed by Staats and Stephanie Lyons; and air pistol, instructed by Stromeyer and Randy Yost.
