Wilma Mentzer

MENTZER, Wilma M. Bray, 93, of Weirton, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013, in the Dixon Health Care, Wintersville, OH.

Born January 21, 1920, in Steubenville, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Florence Weinmann Noltemeyer.

She was also preceded in death by her husbands, John Bray and Elmer Mentzer, brother, James Noltemeyer and sister, Helen McGoldrick.

Mrs. Mentzer was a homemaker and former teacher at the Alikana Elementary School in Steubenville. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Weirton and the Weirton Woman's Club.

Wilma is survived by her sons: John (Shirley) Bray of Wintersville, James (Karen) Mentzer Sr. of Moon Township, PA and Timothy (Diane) Mentzer of Fairhaven, MA; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 23, 2013, at the St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 300 Three Springs Drive, Weirton, WV, from 10 a.m. until time of the 11 a.m. funeral service with the Rev. Gene Sheppard officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Steubenville, OH.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton, WV.

Memorial contributions should be designated to St. Thomas E.C.W. c/o St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 300 Three Springs Drive, Weirton, WV 26062.
