Woman sentenced

in bank robbery

WHEELING - Jessica Crawford, 32, of Marianna, Pa., was sentenced Thursday by U.S. District Judge John Preston Bailey to 51 months in jail for her part in the December 2010 robbery of the United Bank in Weirton.

U.S. Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld II said Crawford will be on probation for five years, and she was ordered to make restitution in the amount of $31,846. Crawford pleaded guilty to a charge of bank robbery for her involvement in the robbery on Dec. 3, 2010, of the United Bank on Three Springs Drive.

Crawford was charged in the Weirton bank robbery and five other bank robberies in Pennsylvania and West Virginia with her then boyfriend, Rudolph Todd Haladyna, formerly of Clarksville, Pa., Haladyna has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for the bank robberies.

Ihlenfeld said Crawford was the get-a-way driver in most of the robberies, which occurred in 2010.
