RUSH RUN - Blasting work recently resumed on the hillside above state Route 7 near Rush Run in Jefferson County as part of the $22 million landslide repair project. Minor traffic delays are expected between 5 and 5:30 p.m. each day.
Weather permitting, both north and southbound traffic will be stopped daily for approximately 10 minutes while blasting occurs, according to ODOT officials. Motorists should plan ahead to avoid delays.
Only one blast will occur per day. State Route 7 has been reduced to one lane in each direction on the northbound side of the highway between Rayland and Brilliant, since a major landslide occurred in March 2011.
