Pleasant Hill Baptist Church located on state Route 213, Steubenville, will be celebrating its 45th anniversary on June 30, having organized on June 30, 1968.
The church is planning a celebration that includes a community block party on June 29, beginning at 2 p.m. It will feature children's games, a bounce house and batting cage, food and music.
The church will host a lunch following the 11 a.m. worship service on June 30. After the meal, there will be a special service at 2 p.m. that will feature special music, a video presentation of the church's history and testimonials from past and present church members.

The community is welcomed to join in the celebration, according to a church spokesperson.
The committee organizing the celebration is chaired by John Mehl and includes Phyllis Fisher, Linda Griffith, Patti Taylor and Kathy Shultz.
The church's pastor is Jay Louks, who marked his first anniversary there on June 3.
