Sale to benefit

Hounds' Haven

Supporters of Hounds' Haven Animal Shelter are accepting donated items for a rummage sale fundraiser to be held in Toronto with a date and location to be announced once plans are finalized.

Gently used, clean and in good condition items will be accepted through Sept. 29 with donations of new, never used items also accepted and appreciated.

Items should have a decorative holiday type theme (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.) and could even include bakeware, CDs/DVDs, costume jewelry, tablecloths, cookbooks, tablecloths and knick knacks.

No clothing will be accepted.

Anyone having items to donate should call (740) 457-9809. Although donations cannot be picked up at individual homes, arrangements to meet for pickup in the Steubenville and Toronto area can be made. Items should not be taken to the shelter.

All proceeds will help with operations at Hounds' Haven Inc.; a nonprofit, "quality-of-life" animal shelter in Jefferson County dedicated to helping homeless and abused pets from all around the Ohio Valley to find shelter, care and love for a lifetime, according to a press release.
