Church to hold steak dinner

Holy Family Catholic Mission at state Route 2 and Church Street, Beech Bottom, will hold its annual baked steak dinner from noon to 3 p.m. Sept. 22.

The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under for the meal, which also includes mashed potatoes, green beans, cole slaw, bread, desert and beverage.

Reservations should be made by Saturday by calling (304) 394-5745 or (304) 394-1174.

Elks lodge to hold dinner

The Weirton Elks Lodge 1801 will hold its monthly pasta dinner for members and guests from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

The dinner includes salad, pasta, bread, butter, dessert and coffee or tea. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children age 10 and under.

A ticket will be selected for a free dinner at next month's pasta Sunday.

Four Seasons Seniors meet

The Four Seasons Senior Citizens met Aug. 21 at the Serbian American Cultural Center in Weirton. President Norma Yoho presided.

Chaplin Mary Rose Spano gave the opening prayer.

After dinner, members were entertained by Janet Keller with an impersonation of Minne Pearl.

August birthdays and an anniversary were acknowledged.

Boyd Barker was awarded the free dinner. The 50/50 winners were Barb Cerra and Marie Scarfo.

Other prize winners were Jim Orler, Barb Cerra, Marie Scarfa, Bev Dibasi and Fran Wenzel.

After dinner, members played cards and bingo.

The next meeting will be held Wednesday.

Adena auxiliary plans card party

The Adena Fire Ladies Auxiliary is planning its 20th-annual fall card party for Oct. 10 at the Adena Volunteer Fire House.

Pre-paid reservations are $7 for the event where doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the event begins at 6:30 p.m. No walk-ins will be accepted.

TIMET retirees to meet Tuesday

Retirees of TIMET in Toronto will have occasion to chat, reminisce and stay connected at the next get-together luncheon scheduled for Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at CJ'S Restaurant on Sunset Boulevard, Steubenville,

It's open to all TIMET retirees.

AMVETS Post 275 meeting Saturday

AMVETS Post 275 will meet at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at Damon's Grill on University Boulevard, Steubenville.

All area veterans are welcome to attend.

Cup of Life Ministries resumes

Cup of Life Ministries will resume monthly meetings today at Marland Heights Community Church located at 3900 Bright Way, Weirton.

Doors open at 6 p.m., and the women's worship service with music leaders Judi Baldwin and Angel Previch begins at 7 p.m.

Immediately after the service, Bible teacher Tina Schoolcraft will discuss "Be Still and Know That I am God."

The event includes food, beverages and dessert and a children's class for children aged pre-kindergarten through fourth grade.

Free diabetic shoe fittings set

Medi Home Care will hold free diabetic shoe fittings from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 19 at its facilities located at 105 Main St., Wintersville.
