CADEGAN, James A., 79, of Toronto, OH, passed away suddenly Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014.
He was born Oct. 20, 1934, in Steubenville, OH, the son of the late Leo and Philomena Cadegan.
Jim was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church of Toronto, OH; Toronto Knights of Columbus Council No. 2187; was a graduate of Steubenville Catholic Central High School; served his country in the U.S. Army and retired from the Titanium Metals Corporation of Toronto.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joseph, David, William and Thomas Cadegan and sister, Catherine Fowler.
Jim's survivors are his wife, Annlee (King) Cadegan whom he married Oct. 27, 1999; sister, Charlotte Perun of Toronto, OH; stepson, Eric (Dianna) Piatt of Toronto, OH; stepdaughters, Fern Ranee (Ted) Vukelic of Toronto, OH and Dusty (Juan) Huerta of Corpus Christi, TX. and five step-grand children.
Visitation hours for Jim will be held 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto, where a Vigil Service will be held at 3:45 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Additional visitation will be held from 9-10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Corner of Findley St. and Euclid Ave., Toronto.
A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis with officiant the Reverend Father Thomas Vennitti officiating. Interment will follow at the Toronto Union Cemetery.
There will be a Toronto American Legion Chaplain Service at the cemetery.
